Writer Bio

I’m Franco Amati, and I write speculative fiction.

I grew up in New Jersey and live in New York. I studied cognitive science in graduate school and did my doctoral research in psycholinguistics.

I’m a graduate of the Viable Paradise writer’s workshop.

Some of my favorite topics to write about include artificial intelligence, free will, consciousness, embodiment, introversion, deception, mind reading, aging, the lives of early hominids, the philosophy of work, the psychology of language, the subtleties of social interaction, and the absurdity of life.
